Nelson Mandela House Location (Series 1 – 5)

In Only Fools and Horses, Del Boy lives in a fictional tower block called Nelson Mandela House, in Peckham, London. During the course of the series, the location of Nelson Mandela House was changed. The Only Fools And Horses Nelson Mandela House Filming Location for the first 5 series and the one which appears in the opening credits was Harlech Tower in Acton, West London.

By the end of Series 5 the show was very popular and being able to film in the original location of Nelson Mandela House has become really difficult. As such from Series 6 onwards, external filming was moved out of London, and Whitemead House in Bristol became the new external location for Nelson Mandella House.

Famous scenes filmed here include the notorious riot which separated for Del to drive through, as well as ‘Danger UXD’. The episode which saw Del and Rodney escorting two inflatable dolls across the parking lot. Additionally, where Del, Rodney and Uncle Albert walked of into the sunset.
